When connecting a funding source to your Privacy Account using your bank account, you may have noticed some branding associated with a company called Plaid. Plaid is a third party we partner with to offer fast and seamless funding source connection to Privacy Accounts. This ensures we can get you paying with Privacy quickly and easily.

What if I don’t want to use Plaid with my Privacy Account?
When you login via the portal provided by your bank, we are given a token by your bank that allows us to transact on your account when you make purchases using one of your Privacy Cards by using your account and routing number.
We don't obtain or store your login, and you can change it anytime without affecting your use of Privacy. We are given the same info as if you had connected with the account/routing number and confirmed deposits in your account to prove ownership - only this is instantly connected.
If you’d prefer not to use Plaid, you can connect your debit card as a funding source for your Privacy Account. Debit card funding doesn’t involve Plaid. To find out more information about connecting a debit card to your Privacy Account, visit our Help Center article here.
