When funding your Privacy Account with a checking account, you can have multiple funding accounts active at the same time.
When multiple funding sources are connected, you have the option to designate one of them as the default. Setting a funding source on your Privacy Account as the default means that any transactions made using newly created Privacy Cards will automatically be debited from that selected account. Any cards created before this new default will continue to be debited from the funding source they were initially set to.
If the number of funding sources on your Privacy Account is ever reduced to 1, it will automatically become the default, and all open Privacy Cards on your account will then switch to begin debiting from the one remaining.
Adding back a previously connected funding source will not restore the status of any existing cards that were previously associated with it. Instead, they'll all need to be adjusted individually.
I set a default funding source, but transactions are still being debited to an old funding source. Why?
If you currently have another funding source connected, any cards already connected to your other account will remain that way. Setting a funding source as the default will connect only newly created cards to that account, not existing cards.
If you remove the prior funding source, new transactions on the card it was linked to will be funded from the new default funding source.
I have multiple funding sources connected to my Privacy Account. How do I know which funding source is being used by a particular Privacy Card?
If you have more than one funding source connected to your Privacy Account, you can select and view your preferred funding source by clicking into each Privacy Card individually.
To change the funding source for a Privacy Card, open the card you'd like to edit and click on the name of the funding source you’d like the Privacy Card to debit from.
Updating the funding source of a Privacy Card will not interfere with any pending or settling transactions made using that card.
If my transaction fails, will it be drawn from my secondary funding source?
No, a transaction will only be debited from the designated funding source set on an individual Privacy Card. You can determine which funding source is selected by clicking on your Privacy Card.
