Automatic and Manual Payments are the two different methods that Privacy offers to collect funds to pay for purchases made with Privacy Cards. For the simplest and smoothest experience, we recommend choosing Automatic Payments.
What’s the difference between Manual and Automatic Payments?
If you select Automatic Payments, your connected funding source will be debited (to fund your secured reserve) automatically once a purchase has been authorized and completed by a merchant.
If you select Manual Payments, you will need to mail in a separate request form and submit ID verification once we’ve received your application. Once verified, you will be responsible for submitting payments on a manual basis for purchases made using your Privacy Cards.
How do I apply for Manual Payments?
In order to complete the Manual Payments request, you’ll need to submit in writing the following:
- Full name
- Email address you signed up with
- Phone number
- An explicit request to enroll in Manual Payments
