When you connect a Privacy Card to Apple Pay or Google Pay, we only share the minimum amount of information necessary to verify and securely link your card. Here's a quick breakdown of what we share.
With Apple Pay, we may share:
- Your first and last name
- A redacted version of your phone number and email address
With Google Pay, we may share:
- A redacted version of your phone number and email address
We do not share your full contact info, address, SSN, or financial information with the wallet providers. Your Privacy transaction history is also kept private—only the details of transactions made with the linked Privacy Card are shared with the wallet.
Also worth noting:
- Your full Privacy Card number is never shared with Apple or Google or stored on their servers—only the last 4 digits are shared.
- Your actual card number stays encrypted and tokenized, which helps protect your info during checkout.
- Merchants you shop with also do not see your full card number or Privacy account info—just the transaction details required to complete the purchase.
